Taking direction from both business and technical management, this role will develop/support internal applications/tools used by Instec’s internal personnel assist them in efficiently delivering products/services to our customers.
Development/maintenance software systems related to internal business needs which includes proposing technical solutions for process improvements and automation with internal applications/tools, managing defects, troubleshooting/problem resolution, and providing ongoing maintenance/support. Some sample business applications include Team Foundation Server (TFS), online SharePoint and internal Time Accounting application.
Working within the Software Development Life Cycle for all code development/changes will include: Technical analysis, development, testing and documentation.
Knowledge, Skills/Abilities, Experience and Education Required for the Job:
Strong knowledge/exp with Microsoft Products including: C# programming language, ASP.NET, SQL Server
Exp working with Team Foundation Server and SharePoint configuration tools
Exp working with some of the following: APIs, HTML, CSS, MVC, jQuery, AJAX, Angular
Full stack development exp working with UI and underlying database preferred
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent troubleshooting, problem solving and overall critical thinking skills
Results oriented with excellent organizational/multi-tasking skills
Ability to work collaborative in a team setting
Excellent initiative, motivation and ability to drive change
3+ years software development experience in an internal applications/tools development role
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field
